Karen Beer

Director/ Registered Manager

My name is Karen, and I am the registered Manager of Time2Care. I founded Time2Care in 2011 along with my husband (Chris), sister and brother-in-law (Clare & Mike). I was at the time working at Barnstaple hospital as a registered nurse and decided I wanted to take a year out to set up a care agency to make a difference to people lives’ living at home. A year later after our first visit from the CQC, with the business well established, I returned to my nursing and continued my nursing career within the Bideford community nursing team. During this time with the district nurses, I saw how the need for social care was growing within this area, so In 2020 I decided it was time to return to expand the business to provide a safe and effective service to allow our service users to continue living well at home.

Hi, I’m Clare, Mike’s wife and also an equal partner in Time 2 Care. I do not have a day-to-day role in the operation of the business, but I am very much part of the major decision-making process, especially regarding the future direction of the company. My sister Karen & I grew up locally, we are a close family and I’m extremely proud of what the team and ourselves have achieved especially the daily challenges of running a successful Care Agency.
